Malaysia use Touch N Go RFID card/ RFID sticker for public tranportation

Malaysia touch n'go Sdn Bhd has launched a nfc payment in whole area of malaysia, no matter in super market or public transportation, such as bus, metro, nealry every one have a touch n go rfid card or got a touch n go rfid sticker tagging on the mobile phone of nfc payment.

This type of touch n go rfid card/ wallet adopting NFC technology, similar like a NXP mifare ultralight EV1 card or Ntag 213 card. It defined 2 parts, UID and authentification password. Only the valid UID and password can make this card effecive.

The payment data and charged balance is stored at backstage server, Malaysia touch n'go corperation also developed an APP, callded The Touch ‘n Go ewallet, which holds electronic money (e-money). The Touch 'n Go eWallet provides services such as reloads, payments, fund transfers, anywhere and anytime, and bind to the touch n go card/ sticker

So the touch n’go card actually needn't to store the balance information inside, just use the general UID and authentification key would be fair enough to ensure the data synchonize.

Touch n'go also provided a rfid sticker for highway tolling, which should be an UHF RFID tag, worked at 860- 960 Mhz, it can be stucked on vehicle windshield. As the vehicle passes through toll, an overhead scanner reads the radio-frequency from the TNG RFID sticker and charges the toll fare.

The sticker will be linked to the user's Touch 'n Go eWallet from which the fare will be deducted.
