How to encode a UHF RFID tag?
Some clients are very confused to encode a rfid tag, actually it is very simple, just need to know the following info before making the encoding work.
1. UHF RFID tag's memory size and structure.
For a typical impinj monza R6 chip,as following, the EPC memory and user memory is for programing purpose. Normally EPC memory are more frequently used, but sometimes, you may also used for user memory for special purpose, but for most of application, EPC memory is fairly enough.
96 bits means at least can write 24 HEX in EPC, such as 1234567890ABCDEF12345678
also the memory map is important , sometimes you may need to write the data to specific memory bank, so the memory address is important.
2. After step 1, then you need to have a proper UHF RFID reader writer to encode, such as RFID printer, desktop reader writer or handheld RFID reader writer, for heavy task and standard rfid labels, you may ask a tag manufacturer tor preprogramming for you, for middle task, a reliable RFID printer/ encoder may be a good tool, and for small task and non-standard uhf rfid tag, a desktop UHF RFID reader may needed.
For example, UR-2000 Desktop USB RFID reader writer is a good tool for light task and non-standard uhf rfid tag encoding.
3. Then, you need a software to help you easy encode the uhf rfid tags, take GEE-UR-2000 desktop UHF RFID reader for example,
Left block for accurate write, required user to know the exactly memory map, right block just write at the low address of EPC memory, this operation is easier to handle, compared to left block writing, if didn't want to revise the previous EPC bits, then just filled 0
